Pax is the Roman Goddess of peace. She is the daughter of Jupiter, supreme God of the Roman pantheon, and Iustitia, Goddess of justice. Roman emperors, including Augustus and Vespasian, used her image on their coins to honor her and to maintain peace in the empire. Pax is usually represented holding an olive branch, a cornucopia, and sceptre.
