Not the mother. Nyx and Erebus are the parents of The Fates. Chaos/Khaos is the mother of Nyx and Erebus. Adrasteia is the mother of Chaos/Khaos. And Ananke is the mother of Adrasteia. See where I'm going here? The Furies are the children of Uranus and Gaea, not Nyx and Erebus like some think or believe. And Khaos is not the Goddess of air. Khaos/Chaos: the formless or void state preceding the creation of the universe or cosmos in the Greek creation myths, more specifically the initial "gap" created by the original separation of heaven and earth. From my research so far the Protogenoi (primeval gods)were from Ananke. She is their Grandmother and Great, Great Grandmother. She is the ULTIMATE Protogenoi (primeval goddess).
